Female only classes run at The Boxing Institute are perfect for the beginner female that is a little apprehensive about jumping in a class with men.
Although safety is our number one priority at our Logan based facility, we realise that some women still want to ease their way into a sport which seems daunting from the outside looking in.
Classes are a combination of both technique and the cardio, to ensure that our ladies get the most out of every class. We realise that many Women, especially in Logan, have a very busy schedule, so we want to make sure that our classes cover all bases, as we realise that time is precious!
Being a female today is a tough job. In society, the workplace, and many other aspects of life, but we want to create the Environment where our students can relax, be themselves, and learn how to protect themselves and their loved ones while burning some calories.
All lessons are conducted on a padded floor, so that any small chance of a fall has very little risk of any injury occurring from it. That being said, falls are very rare as we go at a pace that is acceptable for a beginner through to an intermediate level. As students in the class begin to gain experience and skill, some choose to go into the mixed classes and/or the fighters classes, to further pursue their goals, but many women happily continue to attend the ladies classes as they provide a sufficient amount of a challenge even for some more experienced students.
As a member, ladies get access to all classes in our timetable, which includes all morning classes, boxing classes, and kickboxing classes held out of our Logan facility.
Our Logan based facility has 350m2, of padded flooring, because we know that especially in the beginning, the participant’s safety must come first! The occasional trip or fall the students may encounter while performing their footwork, will be met with a floor that is a little more forgiving and they won’t be limping the next day!
The most important thing is that students enjoy the lessons! If you aren’t enjoying your training, it’s likely excuses will start being made and sessions will be missed. In order for us to create permanent and positive change in the lives of our students, we need them to be in the gym regularly!
