The Monthly Catch-Up: November 2020

New Month, Same Goals…

ICYMI: Eternal, Best of the Best and Total Impact

With six Fighters across three different cards – November proved an exciting month for our Fight Team.

Rafael Vilches @ Eternal MMA 55

Co-headlining Eternal MMA 55 at Southport Sharks, Raf made his second professional MMA appearance on the 21st of November. Raf began the first round strong, piecing his opponent apart on the feet. Unfortunately, after an exchange on the ground later in the first round, he lost by a heel hook submission.

Harry Sheppard and Luke Brennan @ Best of the Best

November 28th at the MX Store in Burleigh saw Harry and Luke put on an absolute clinic. Following three unrelenting rounds of pain, Harry won comfortably on points. While Luke ended the fight in spectacular fashion, by a head kick in the first round.

Brad Trevisan, Brett Morgan and Diaz Tuakifalelei @ Total Impact

November 28th also saw our boxers execute a 100% strike rate at Total Impact, held at the Croatian Club at Southport. Brett and Diaz both made triumphant debuts, while Brad was able to put into practice all the hard work he’s been putting in at the gym. All three fighters won on points, with each showing real skill and grit.

Let Us Transform You

A fundamental part of your training regime, sparring provides the opportunity to develop and sharpen your skills. As well as being an environment to apply the techniques you learn in class, sparring also tests your ability to stay calm and focused under fatigue and pressure.

To help you level up the next time you spar, Coaches Ben and Mitch have developed a new tutorial that covers some key tips. Focusing on mental traps to avoid, these five strategies are explained from a Muay Thai perspective but can be applied to any martial art.

Check out the video here.
