The Monthly Catch-Up: August 2020

Say Hello to Our New Younger Brother…

Welcome to the Newest Member of the TBI Family!

We are proud to announce Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is joining us as part of our Boxing and Muay Thai Family. Our first class on August 4th was an absolute cracker – with a full house of 40 people. Heading up our classes is Icaro Sandes, a Brown Belt from the school of Southside BJJ. Make sure to say ‘hello’ the next time you see him!

Our first month of classes are Gi-optional, giving you time to consider whether BJJ is right for you and whether you prefer Gi or No Gi. And if you’ve decided you’d like to purchase a Gi, we’ve got you covered with a full range of sizes and colours – because after all, you gotta look good to Jiu-Jitsu good.

If BJJ is something you’ve ever considered but have been hesitant to try, now is the perfect conditions to give it a crack – with the vast majority of our students just beginning their BJJ journey, everyone is starting on the same page. Learn in a safe environment where you’re all making the same mistakes, together!

Classes run Tuesday and Thursdays 7:30pm – 9pm. We hope to see you there! As always, booking-in is essential – for more information on our booking process, click here.

Still have questions? We’ve got plenty of resources for you to learn more about what BJJ involves, what to expect on your first day, essential etiquette and (for the guys) how to make sure you keep the family jewels intact.

A Day in The Life Of…

Across our TBI and TFC Family, we are incredibly grateful to have the incredible members that we do. We love hearing their stories about why they’ve come down, why they’ve stayed and what they’ve learned. We love to witness their progress and growth before our eyes.

Travis Cromhout’s story is one of these – and he’s let us share his story with all of you! Reflecting on his journey, from his first day walking through the doors to now, Travis’ covers some key insights and lessons he’s learned.

But we’d rather let Travis tell you himself – check out the article here.
